Eleven

What do your children learn on a day-to-day basis in school? There are the obvious subjects such as math, science, English, and history but are the children actually learning the material or are they just learning enough of it to pass the test and move on. In today’s world people rely on getting in to college on one test, the SAT. For universities across the country we find that there is a minimum requirement to even get accepted in to the school. If the SAT is such a big deal for each student then why aren’t they being prepared for it in high school?

Math, science, history, and English are all subjects that each student has to take before they graduate. But it seems that our high school is only worried about helping the student pass instead of actually learning the material. Every student that wants to go to college has to take a college entrance exam. In the process of acceptance, the score of the test is very heavily weighted. The question that many people ask is, how is our school preparing high school juniors and seniors for the test? The answer is simple, we are not doing a single thing.
